San Diego is located on the southern California coast, close to the Mexican border. It is the 2nd largest city in California with 1.3 million people. It has a wonderfully dry and moderate climate year round. San Diego bay is magnificent. It's a natural harbor and deep water port that is considered one of the very best on the western coast of the North American continent. America's Cup sail boat racing occurs here. The Navy has a base there too. San Diego is home of both Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.
